Jain Chem has developed a number of FDA approved recyclable/repulpable water repellent coatings for wax replacement applications or where the ultimate in water resistance is required. Many of Jain Chem’s Ulterion® Brand water resistant/repellent coatings are designed for use on a variety of coating applicators. These coatings have been successfully applied on a paper machine, off-coater and a variety of press applied applicators.
Ulterion® 500 HCTC
Ulterion® 500 HCTC is a FDA approved high solids coating developed for water repellency. It has been formulated to replace PE and wax coatings for hot and cold-water holdout in cup stock applications. We recommend applying Ulterion® 500 HCTC as a top coat over Ulterion® 300 HCBC.
Ulterion® 535 HV
Ulterion® 535 HV is a FDA approved high solids coating developed for oil resistance & water repellency. It has been formulated to replace PE and wax coatings. It has applications in moisture barrier, hot/cold cup stock, frozen foods, cold release, food packaging coatings, and others where hot and cold-water & oil holdout is a requirement.
Ulterion® 575 HV
Ulterion® 575 HV is a FDA approved high viscosity coating developed for water repellency. It has been formulated to replace PE and wax coatings. It has applications in moisture barrier, cup stock, frozen foods, cold release, food packaging coatings, and others where water holdout is a requirement.
