Ulterion® Food Carton Coatings

Most food cartons are made grease-resistant by treating the paperboard with fluorochemicals, which are considered a carcinogen by the State of California and are generally considered unhealthy.  Also, although paper treated with fluorochemicals are recyclable, they are not compostable.  Ulterion coatings for paper and paperboard cartons provide the same grease resistance as fluorochemical but are made from up to 95% recycled or renewable, non-GMO raw materials and will not inhibit compostability.
